Hello all, I’m Katie.

I could start with all the roles I have which is just like how all of us start our “about us” sections or “who am I’s” but that’s not really who I am, nor is that what I expect from my patients, so true to form, I’m not going to give you that either.

I’m not your average psychologist, coach, or consultant. I’m here to help you navigate the complexities of life, whether that’s through psychotherapy, psychological assessments, or coaching. So, when you’re working with me, be prepared for a few laughs, some deep dives into self-discovery, and maybe even a Spock reference or two.

Ready to boldly go in the exploration of your ideal you?

Lifelong learner

Learning isn’t just something that I’ve spent most of my life paying to do, but it’s something that I avidly seek out and as a psychologist, coach, and consultant, is something I now get paid to do!

Running at 212 miles an hour

I have a knack for setting ambitious goals and have a passion that can ignite a fire that many can find simultaneously utterly exhausting and uplifting.

Outside the therapy room

You may find me with my nose in a book, writing, or planning my next travel adventure. I bring all these experiences and passions into my work, helping to create a unique and engaging approach to all I do.

A world of geek

I’m a lover of Star Trek, Dr. Who, Dungeons and Dragons, and various other science fiction and fantasy realm arenas.

Mental Health

Growth Focused Approach to Mental Health

I try to approach life with a big picture perspective and have a unique blend of emotional expression with humor, sarcasm, and geekiness which seems to have fostered the growth of all, except the plants in my garden (although I’m sure, this year will be different!).

01

Mental Health Interests

I’ve dedicated years to helping individuals navigate relationship trauma and interpersonal distress. I’ve explored areas such as burnout, compassion fatigue, and moral injury, all with the aim of helping you reduce distress and boost happiness.

02

In the room with Psychotherapy

Therapy with me might not be a “walk in the tulips,” (as one of my patients once told me) but it’s a thrilling roller coaster ride of self-discovery and growth. In our sessions, you won’t just find a professional. You’ll find a geek life enthusiast, a cheerleader, and a guide. I’ll be there to help you dive deep into self-discovery, set ambitious goals, and connect with what’s most meaningful to you.

03

Psychological Assessments

Assessments give us the opportunity to look for patterns that we may otherwise miss. I’m trained in cognitive instruments to assess memory, cognitive functioning, and ADHD assessments. I recognize most folks aren’t too excited about having to take a “test” about their “brain” and “mood,” but we will work together to ensure you feel comfortable to the extent possible for each assessment and demystify the entire process as much as I can while maintaining test integrity in accordance with my ethics code.

Now for the more boring section of our programming.

What qualifies me to do any of these things that I just talked about. I promise, I’m not some random person who wandered in off of the street!

Coaching Clients have stated that working with me in coaching has resulted in:

“lower absenteeism and increased service processes.”

“increased morale and engagement in the workplace.”

As a coach, I’m here to help you and your team reach new heights of success and satisfaction. I’ve recently graduated from an International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited training and am nearing my hours to apply for my certification within ICF.
