Meet Adrienne Halanick
Hi, my name is Adrienne Halanick. I am a clinical mental health counseling intern with a wide variety of experience. I have experience in high stress and complex life situations in occupational professions. My background expands from working with active-duty soldiers and veterans who have sustained trauma injuries and dealt with Complex PTSD and TBI’s, I have also had the opportunity to work with the neurodivergent child and adolescents. Other areas I have had opportunities to work with first responders in a highly demanding environment focusing on addictions and other mental illnesses.
My approach to counseling is more of a collaborative person centered approached. I believe every person has a story to tell. And can overcome their situation with patience, understanding and a compassionate approach in counseling. I believe in creating goals that can help each person with trauma, emotional regulations, and providing a strength-based framework that focuses on and respects each client’s beliefs and life experiences. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgement space for my clients.
On a personal level I have many interests. I love activities like being in nature, hiking, yoga and cooking. I believe I am a spiritual person, and I enjoy conversations learning about other people’s beliefs. Another interest I have is knitting and sewing along with painting.
