Hello all, I’m Katie.
I could start with all the roles I have. That’s how all of us start our “about us” sections, or “who am I’s.” But that’s not really who I am. Moreover, it isn’t what I expect from my patients. So, I’m not going to do that here.
I’m not your average psychologist, coach, or consultant. As a psychologist, I’m here to help you navigate the complexities of life. Whether you’re seeking help through psychotherapy, psychological assessments, or coaching. So, whenever you’re working with me, be prepared for a few laughs. Also, expect some deep dives into self-discovery. Occasionally a Spock reference or two.

Lifelong learner
Learning is something I’ve spent most of my life paying to do. It’s also something I avidly seek out. As a psychologist, coach, and consultant, I now get paid to learn!
Running at 212 miles an hour
I have a knack for setting ambitious goals. I don’t slow down. My passion usually ignites a fire others find both exhausting and uplifting.
Outside the therapy room
You’ll find me reading, writing, or planning my next travel adventure. Sometimes drawing, painting or a host of other creative pursuits.
A world of geek
I’m a lover of Star Trek, Dr. Who, Dungeons and Dragons, and various other science fiction and fantasy realm arenas.
Growth Focused Approach to Mental Health
I try to approach life with a big picture perspective. My unique blend of humor, sarcasm, and geekiness seems to work well for many- except the plants in my garden (although I’m sure, this year will be different!).
Mental Health Interests
I’ve dedicated years to helping others navigate relationship trauma and interpersonal distress. Areas such as burnout, compassion fatigue, and moral injury, have been of particular interest. Whatever I study, it is all with the aim of helping you reduce distress and boost happiness in your life.
In the room with Psychotherapy
Therapy with me might not be a “walk in the tulips,” (as one of my patients once told me) but it’s a thrilling roller coaster ride of self-discovery and growth. In our sessions, you won’t just find a professional. You’ll find a geek life enthusiast, a cheerleader, and a guide. I’ll be there to help you dive deep into patterns in life, set ambitious goals, and connect with what’s most meaningful to you.
Psychological Assessments
Assessments give us the opportunity to look for patterns that we may otherwise miss. I’m trained in cognitive instruments to assess memory, cognitive functioning, as well as ADHD assessments. Most folks aren’t too excited about having to take a “test” about their “brain” and “mood.” But we will work together to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible. I’ll help demystify the entire process as much as I can while maintaining test integrity in accordance with my ethics code.
Now, for the comparatively more boring section of our programming.
Coaching
Coaching clients say working with me in coaching has resulted in:
“lower absenteeism and increased service processes.”
“increased morale and engagement in the workplace.”
As a coach, I’m here support you and your team to reach new heights of success and satisfaction. Previously graduating from an International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited training. I’m closing in on the required hours to submit for certification within ICF in order to meet standards.
